More QB Rumors

Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith wasn't afraid to pull Rex Grossman and insert Brian Griese. And if Griese struggles this week against the Detroit Lions, he won't have any problem lifting Griese in favor of Grossman. The Chicago Tribune reported that the Bears increased Grossman's work in practice this week from 30 percent of the snaps to 40 percent. It doesn't mean the Bears have lost faith in Griese. It does mean the coaches recognize the urgency of being a 3-5 team. Source: Yahoo

As usual, coach Brad Childress wouldn't say who will start at quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, however, the signs point toward Brooks Bollinger getting the nod. Childress told reporters Friday afternoon that the team was considering a roster move that "perhaps" involved a quarterback according the the Minneapolis Star Tribune. As of Friday night, the Vikings were listing two quarterbacks as questionable on their injury report and a third seemed in danger of release. Tarvaris Jackson (concussion) and Kelly Holcomb (neck) both took part in a portion of practice, and their progress might make emergency quarterback Koy Detmer expendable as early as today the Star Tribune reported.

I will be so pissed off if lovie puts Grossman in again. The Bears need to draft Brohm or Brennan or trade for McNabb or something! Don't start Grossman or Griese!
