2008 Free Agent Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

1) Bernard Berrian, UFA, Chicago Bears- Berrian is a quick receiver, with great hands. He managed to get 51 passes and six touchdowns in the 2006-07, which is good considering he had Rex Grossman as his quarterback. I don't expect Berrian to re-sign with the Bears. He will be heavily pursued by other teams, Berrian has pro bowl potential if he has a good quarterback. Possible Teams: Titans, Vikings, Seahawks

2) Patrick Crayton, UFA, Dallas Cowboys- Crayton is a very good receiver, the only thing limiting him is that he has T.O. and Terry Glenn on his team who take away a lot of his receptions. But, with Terry Glenn out with injuries, Crayton has shown he can be a reliable target for Tony Romo. Crayton also has speed and good hands, and he is able to overpower cornerbacks for position. My guess is that the Cowboys will look to sign him again. Re-Signed With Cowboys.

3) L.J. Smith, UFA, Philidelphia Eagles- LJ Smith has been the most reliable receiver for Donovan McNabb and the Eagles for the past few years. He has averaged 50 catches per year with at least 600 yards. This year, Smith has seen his reception numbers go down, mostly because of injuries. Smith has said to the press a few times this year how unhappy the team has played, and how he isn't getting the ball enough. The Eagles will probably try hard to resign him, but he will get plenty of calls from other teams. Franchise Tagged by Eagles

4) Randy Moss, UFA, New England Patriots- Moss will be coming off of the best season of his career this offseason and will be most likely be looking for the team who is willing to give up the most money for him. I think he really enjoys playing with a star quarterback like Tom Brady, but the Patriots do not like to pay their receivers ridiculous saleries, but this guy is worth it. Possible Teams: Patriots
