Chicago QB Rumors...Again

Donovan McNabb's rocky relationship with the media and fans in Philadelphia combined with coach Andy Reid's personal problems might create and opportunity for the Chicago Bears to bring McNabb to the Windy City according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The Sun-Times notes that McNabb isn't what he used to be, but is still better than anything the Bears currently have on their roster. Quoting an NFL source, the Sun Times said McNabb would be at least as good as Steve McNair was for Baltimore last season, with the possibility of getting significantly better a year removed from knee surgery.

Also according to the Chicago Sun-Times, Rex Grossman returned from the bench and brought with him the swagger and the deep ball that comes with it, his 59-yard bomb to Bernard Berrian for a touchdown with 3:11 to play just may be the beginning of something. Grossman got another chance when Brian Griese suffered a bruised left shoulder. Coach Lovie Smith chose not to address the quarterback issue in his post-game press conference. Depending on the severity of the injury, the Bears could have their 32nd starting QB change in the last 133 games.
