Larry Johnson Being Traded?
It seemed that in the past two weeks the Kansas City Chiefs and running back Larry Johnson have been growing farther and farther apart in contract negotiations. It was reported last week that Johnson and the Chiefs did come to an agreement but it has now fallen through. There are many teams looking at Johnson right now. Here's a few teams who have reportedly looked into making a trade for LJ: Packers, Bengals, and the Giants. The Packers are in need of a running back after Ahman Green left, but they intent on helping make rookie Brandon Jackson their back of the future. The Bengals need some help at running back after losing rookie back-up Kenny Irons. The only problem with that would be that they have Rudi Johnson who can be an every down back but would have to be the backup with LJ being a workhorse. The Giants look to be a good fit, only having big man Brandon Jacobs and Reuben Droughns to fill the gap left by Tiki Barber's departure.
