Corey Simon Joins Titans
Veteran free agent defensive tackle Corey Simon, released by the Indianapolis Colts earlier this month after what owner Jim Irsay termed a "bad mistake," reached a contract agreement with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday. Financial details of the one-year contract were not immediately available. "It's where he wanted to be," agent Roosevelt Barnes said. "He liked [coach Jeff] Fisher and the organization, and he's definitely glad to be back [in the league]." By signing with the Titans, the seven-year veteran will have a chance to face the Colts twice yearly in AFC South play. Simon will finalize the contract Tuesday afternoon and will attempt to get himself quickly back into shape so that he can be a regular part of the Tennessee tackle rotation.
