Tatum Bell's agent, Jeffrey Griffin, told Detroit Lions president Matt Millen earlier in the week that Bell would like to be traded because of a diminished role in the offense. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, and the Lions do not appear to have any interest in dealing Bell. Teams potentially interested: Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Houston Texans.

The Miami Dolphins are going to release Ricky Williams if he is reinstated by the league, unless there is a last minute trade.

The New York Jets desperately need a spark that only a quarterback change provides for what is now a lost season for the former Mangenius. They are one-year wonders after their surprising playoff run last year and have quickly reverted to the dreary days of the Same Old Jets. "No," is how Eric Mangini answered after the Jets' 16-9 loss to the Eagles when asked if he was considering a quarterback change to Kellen Clemens.

Tiki Barber said that his brother, Ronde, and his mother want the retired New York Giants tailback to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tiki said he's not gonna do it. Tiki has until November 30 to unretire and join the Giants. If he does, the Giants presumably would have to decide whether to welcome him back or cut him loose.
