Moss Out (Not Randy)

(AP) Washington Redskins receiver Santana Moss was inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions because of a groin injury. That left the Redskins with only one active receiver -- Antwaan Randle El -- who has caught a pass this season. James Thrash was expected to start in Moss' place. Moss hadn't practiced since getting hurt in the fourth quarter of Washington's loss to the New York Giants two weeks ago. He has 12 catches for 199 yards this season.
Keenan McCardell and Reche Caldwell, recently signed by the Redskins, were active, the first time either receiver has been in uniform since joining the team. The Lions were without right guard Damien Woody (rib) and running back T.J. Duckett (ankle). Stephen Peterman was expected to start for Woody.
