Harrington Out, Leftwich In

After a 1-5 start to the season, the Falcons have decided to bench starting quarterback Joey Harrington and start recently aquired QB Byron Lefwich. The Falcons hope that Leftwich, a fifth-year veteran signed last month after his release from the Jacksonville Jaguars, will provide a spark for the team's sagging offense. Atlanta statistically ranks 27th in total offense and is 29th in scoring, averaging just 13.2 points per game. The Falcons have scored only six offensive touchdowns in six games. Fantasy View: I would consider picking up Leftwich only if you were in a really bad quarterback situation. Leftwich might do well in the Falcon's offense especially with weapons in Joe Horn and Alge Crumpler. Warrick Dunn is also a good receiving running back so look for his fantasy value to increase also.
