Shaun Alexander To Bengals?

The most likely timeframe for the possible release of Alexander is around April 1, according to John Clayton. The veteran running back is still recovering from wrist surgery, which has held up his release. The expected plan is for Alexander to be listed as a pre-designated June 2 cap casualty. In doing that, Alexander would be a free agent once he's designated. The Seahawks would get $4.475 million of cap relief in June. One interesting option for Alexander could be the Cincinnati Bengals. Alexander grew up in Florence, Ky., and is popular around Cincinnati. For years, there were plenty of rumors that the Bengals might try to acquire him in a trade.
