Jags Extend Meirer

The Jacksonville Jaguars gave defensive tackle Rob Meier a bigger contract to go along with his bigger role. Meier, who is replacing three-time Pro Bowl player Marcus Stroud in the starting lineup this season, signed a four-year contract extension Thursday. Although financial details weren’t disclosed, Meier said the new deal will pay more than the $2.095 million he was due in the final year of his previous contract. Meier’s deal also came two days after defensive end Paul Spicer failed to show up for the team’s first voluntary workout of the offseason while seeking a new contract.

I hate how the NFL is so slow right now! It's by far the worst time of the season! Getting a lot of hits still?

I agree, it's the worst time of the year for NFL fans. Hits obviously dropped, but once the preseason previews, fantasy previews, team previews, etc. come out, i'm sure they'll shoot right back up (remember the site has only been up for about 8 months)...Year 2 here we come...
